Henderson Silver Knights News Release
Henderson - The American Hockey League announced today, April 1, that Silver Knights forward Raphael Lavoie has been named the Fortune Tires "Expect More" AHL Player of the Month for the month of March.
Lavoie, 25, posted points in 12 of 14 games in March, totaling 13 goals and 20 points with a plus-9 rating. Lavoie is currently riding a 10-game points streak, matching his career best, and he has 15 goals in his last 16 games overall.
A second-round pick (38th overall) of the Edmonton Oilers in 2019, Lavoie is in his second season with the Silver Knights. He has totaled 24 goals and 44 points in just 37 games. Lavoie has registered five muti-goal games this season, including a hat trick capped by an overtime-winner on March 11 against the Tucson Roadrunners.
Lavoie's 13 goals were the most scored by an AHL player in a single month since Riley Barber (15) and Stefan Noesen (13) in April 2022. He recorded his 200th AHL point with an assist against the Ontario Reign on March 25.
The Chambly, Quebec native currently sits four goals shy of establishing a new Silver Knights single-season franchise goal-scoring record. With 41 goals in 79 career games as a Silver Knight, he already sits sixth on the franchise's all-time list.
The 6-foot-4 forward has played in 281 career AHL games for the Silver Knights and Bakersfield Condors, totaling 112 goals and 202 points. He has also appeared in 17 career NHL games for the Vegas Golden Knights and Oilers, including one for the Golden Knights this season.
Lavoie earns Player of the Month honors for the first time in his AHL career, and he becomes the first Silver Knight to earn the award. Ben Hemmerling earned Rookie of the Month honors in February, and Logan Thompson was named the AHL's Goaltender of the Month in February and March of 2021.
