
Trenton Falls To New Hampshire 10-4 On Sunday Afternoon

(Manchester, NH)- New Hampshire hit two home runs and went on to defeat Trenton 10-4 on Sunday afternoon from Merchantsauto.com Stadium on Sunday afternoon from Manchester, NH. The Fisher Cats ended a season-high four-game losing streak with the win.
New Hampshire (23-21) tallied three runs in the first inning, highlighted by a two-run single by Third Baseman Al Quintana. Down 3-0, Trenton (19-21) tied the the game with three runs in the top of the second inning. Designated Hitter Jorge Vazquez led off with a single, and advanced to third base on a double by Right fielder Edwar Gonzalez. Left fielder Noah Hall then delivered a two-run triple to cut New Hampshire's lead to 3-2. Third baseman Marcos Vechionacci followed with a single to tie the game at 3-3. But, New Hampshire would take the lead with three runs in the fourth inning off of Thunder Starting Pitcher Wilkin De La Rosa (1-2). New Hampshire Left fielder Cody Haerther hit the go-ahead two-run home run to put the Fisher Cats on top 5-3. Later in the frame, New Hampshire Second baseman Brad Emaus delivered an RBI single to make it 6-3. The Fisher Cats tallied three runs in the fifth inning to extend the lead to 9-3. Quintana had an RBI double off of Thunder Reliever Wilkins Arias for the first run of the inning. Quintana went 4 x 4 in the game with a double, home run, three runs scored and two RBI. Later in the frame, Emaus connected on a two-run double.
De La Rosa, allowed a season-high eight hits and six runs in four innings to take the loss. He struck out three and walked one. New Hampshire Starting Pitcher Luis Perez (4-4) tossed a season-high 7 2/3 innings to pick up his second consecutive win for the Fisher Cats. He yielded six hits and three runs. Trenton Catcher Jose Gil hit a solo home run in the ninth inning off of New Hampshire Reliever Sean Stidfole for his second home run of the season.
Trenton and New Hampshire play the final game of the series on Monday afternoon. RHP Christian Garcia (0-0, 0.00) will start for the Thunder against New Hampshire LHP Marc Rzepczynski (6-3, 3.00). Game time is slated for 1:05 p.m on Monday afternoon from Merchantsauto.com Stadium.
