Travs lefthanded reliever Barret Browning struck out the first two batters he faced, but then walked Chad Tracy to force in the tying run. Dustin Majewski's flare to left field fell in front of a diving Smith then got behind him for a two-run double giving Frisco a 4-2 lead.

The Riders tacked on two runs in the sixth inning and one more in the seventh while the Travs bats were quieted by righthander Tommy Hunter (1-0) who earned the win with three shutout innings and two strikeouts.

Anton took the loss and was charged with four runs on four base hits and three walks in four innings.

Frisco jumped out to an early lead in the second game against Travs righthander Trevor Bell. Chad Tracy drove in all three Frisco runs with a two-out RBI double in the first inning and a two-run homer (1) in the third inning.

Bell finished strong and retired seven of the last eight batters he faced earning a no-decision in his double-A debut.

Frisco righthanded pitcher Michael Schlact held the Travs down until there were two outs in the third inning. Centerfielder Peter Bourjos worked a two-out walk and scored when Mount doubled to right-center. Catcher Hank Conger drove in Mount with a sharp single to right field bringing the Travs within a 3-2 score.

Schlact left the game after throwing one warm-up pitch before the fourth inning with tightness in his right shoulder. Righthander Clayton Hamilton relieved and allowed Patrick Breen's game-tying homer (1) with one out in the fourth inning.

The Travs threatened in the sixth and seventh inning getting their leadoff batters to second base with no outs, but they couldn't capitalize. Arkansas righty Bobby Mosebach took over for Bell in the sixth inning and tossed 1.2 innings before giving way to righthander David Herndon, who left two 'Riders runners on base in the seventh.

Frisco threatened in the seventh inning when Steve Murphy singled with two outs, but Conger caught him stealing second base to end the frame.
