Midland, TX - The Arkansas Travelers scored a season high in runs and snapped a seven game losing streak in a 17-10 win over the Midland RockHounds on Wednesday night. The Travs hit four home runs with Robert Perez, Jr. getting it started with a three-run blast in the opening inning. Isiah Gilliam followed with a grand slam in the second inning and the rout was on. Spencer Packard led the offense going 4-5 with a walk and a solo homer, scoring three runs and driving in three.
Moments That Mattered
* Perez hit a 461 foot three-run homer to left field in the opening inning putting the Travs out to an early lead.
* Gilliam's grand slam pushed the lead out to nine and ended the night for RockHounds starter Blake Beers who was charged with 10 runs over 1.1 innings.
