
Travs Make Most of Only Two Hits in Win

North Little Rock, AR - The Arkansas Travelers utilized only two hits to beat the Tulsa Drillers 3-1 on Saturday evening at Dickey-Stephens Park.
Drillers LHP Julio Urias did not allow a hit over 5.1 innings, but walked back-to-back batters on eight pitches in the sixth with one out and Tulsa up 1-0. Urias was lifted for LHP Ramon Benjamin who walked CF Chad Hinshaw on four pitches to load the bases with one out. RF Blake Gailen produced an RBI fielder's choice that tied the game 1-1, and both 3B Brian Hernandez and 1B Wade Hinkle knocked the only two Travs hits in the game, both two-out RBI singles to put Arkansas up 3-1.
LHP Mike Antonini did not allow an earned run over five-plus innings of work for Arkansas. He surrendered five hits with two walks and four strikeouts.
RHP Austin Wood (W, 8-4) tossed three shutout frames to pick up his eighth win of the season and RHP Danny Reynolds pitched a perfect ninth to secure his seventh save.
LF Drew Maggi walked three times for Arkansas and was the lone Trav to reach base more than once.
Arkansas went 3-for-3 in stolen bases on Saturday and 8-for-8 over the last two games.
With the win, Arkansas improved to 56-49 on the season and 20-16 in the second half.
The Travs and Drillers will conclude the four-game series on Sunday at Dickey-Stephens Park. First pitch is scheduled for 6:10 p.m. with Angels top prospect LHP Sean Newcomb expected to make his Double-A debut for Arkansas.
