
Travs & Drillers Split Another DSP Doubleheader

North Little Rock, AR - The Arkansas Travelers and Tulsa Drillers split a doubleheader on Friday night at Dickey-Stephens Park, with the Drillers taking game one 9-1 and Arkansas countering with a 4-2 victory in game two.
In game one, RHP Chase DeJong (W, 10-4) took a no-hitter into the seventh inning and twirled a complete game two-hitter. The righty became the Texas League's first 10 game winner this season.
2B Willie Calhoun finished 3-for-5 with a home run and three RBIs for Tulsa. Calhoun has 26 RBIs in 21 games vs. Arkansas this season. RF Kyle Garlick also had three hits.
Tulsa produced 16 hits in the game to Arkansas' two.
LHP Jose Molina got the spot-start for Arkansas in game two and pitched five shutout innings. The southpaw allowed three hits with one walk and three strikeouts. The start was Molina's first since 2011.
With the game tied 2-2 in the sixth, Travs SS Anthony Phillips lined a two-out, two-run single to center to give Arkansas the lead. Phillips finished with three RBIs.
Travs infielder Andrew Daniel went 3-for-6 over the two games and raised his season batting average to .295, fourth highest in the Texas League.
LHP Tyler DeLoach (W, 4-1) allowed a two-run home run to 1B Cody Bellinger in the sixth that tied the game 2-2 at the time, but picked up the victory for the Travs.
RHP Keynan Middleton (S, 3) notched the save with a 1-2-3 seventh with two strikeouts.
With the split, Arkansas remains three games out of first place in the Texas League North division. The two teams will play game four of the five-game series on Saturday night at Dickey-Stephens Park.
