Travis Hearn Gala Coming to The MARK

Moline, IL-The Quad City Mallards today announced plans for a Travis Hearn Gala presented by Mutual Med featuring an appearance by former Chicago Bears Head Coach Mike Ditka. The event, co-sponsored by the Quad City Radio Group and The Dispatch/Argus/Leader, is scheduled for Wednesday, April 18th beginning with a press conference at 4:15 p.m. The Mallards hope to conclude the night's activities with a first round playoff game.

The pre-event press conference will be followed by a cocktail reception and photo opportunities with Ditka. Dinner presented by Mutual Med will follow the cocktail reception. After dinner, Ditka will address the crowd. Jim Albrecht of WOC AM 1420 will be emceeing the evening's events which will also feature a live auction with auctioneer Dan DePorter. Following the auction, the Mallards will attempt to schedule a playoff game for 7:00 p.m.

Mike Ditka was the Head Coach of the Chicago Bears from 1982 through 1992. He led the 1985 Bears to a victory in Super Bowl XX. He is one of just two men in the history of the National Football League to win a Super Bowl title as a player, assistant coach and head coach. He was inducted into the Professional Football Hall of Fame in 1988.

Tickets for the Travis Hearn Gala are $100.00 per plate, $1000 per table, and will include a ticket to the Mallards playoff game, if scheduled as anticipated. Tickets are limited, only 300 are available. All proceeds from the Travis Hearn Gala and the live auction will be donated to the Travis Hearn Fund.
