
Hogs win three of four to pick up momentum

The final four-game week for the Rockford IceHogs during the 2006-07 regular season came to an end and the Hogs posted a 3-1-0 record. Rockford kept pace with the Fort Wayne Komets, but still trail the Western Conference leaders by just two points. This week the IceHogs will face-off three times, including a pair of tilts at the MetroCentre against the Elmira Jackals.

Transactions:
-Rockford defenseman Mike Eickman was signed and added to the roster (amateur) on Friday, March 23
-Rockford winger Kaleb Betts was activated from the 7-Day Injured reserve on Wednesday, March 21
-Rockford center Nicolas Corbeil was activated from the 14-Day Injured Reserve on Wednesday, March 21
-Rockford center Nicolas Corbeil was moved from the 10- to 14-Day Injured Reserve on Tuesday, March 20
-Rockford winger Jesse Bennefield was placed on the 10-Day Injured Reserve (retro 3/18) on Tuesday, March 20
-Rockford defenseman Corey Hessler was placed on Team Suspension on Tuesday, March 20

Rockford is 18-0-1 this season when scoring four or more goals in a game.
Center Preston Mizzi moved into second place all-time on the IceHogs scoring list with 139 career points with Rockford.
Mizzi is five points behind Mike Figliomeni (144 points) for most all-time.
The IceHogs are 14-1-1 over its past 16 home games.
After Rockford's 4-2 win over Quad City on Sunday, the Hogs pushed its record against the Mallards to 26-6-4 during the Steve Martinson era.
The IceHogs have lost a season-high three straight games on the road.
Defenseman Nathan Lutz is one power-play assist shy of tying Jason Notermann's club record for most power-play assists in a season with 23.
Goalie Frederic Cloutier broke Michel Robinson's single-season wins record when he picked up win 34 on Wednesday over Chicago.
Of the 11 goals scored against Rockford over the past four games, six of them came on the power play.
Rockford's power play is averaging 22.2% over its past eight games going 12-for-54.
Over that same stretch, the Hogs opponents are averaging 23.9% (11-for-46).
Hot Hog Week 24:
Playing short two regular defensemen, Hogs blue-liner Matt Gens stepped up in Week 24 on both the defensive and offensive side of the puck. Gens registered a point in all four games (1g-3a) during Week 24 and had a plus/minus rating of +2.
Upcoming Games:
Friday, March 30 vs. Elmira Jackals. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m. The IceHogs and Jackals meet up for the front-end of a two-game weekend set at the Rockford MetroCentre. The IceHogs, VH1, 104.9 FM WXRX, LT's Bar and Grill and Guzzardo Music present Battle of the Bands on Friday. Shuvlhed, The Merkins, Kirkland and The Broken Fall will battle at the game.
Saturday, March 31 vs. Elmira Jackals. The game is slated for 7:05 p.m. The back-end of two straight against the Jackals at the MetroCentre. The Hogs and Wheels By RT are hosting the Annual Airplane Toss on Saturday.
Sunday, April 1 at Bloomington PrairieThunder. The puck drops at 3:05 p.m. Rockford's final visit to the US Cellular Coliseum. Rockford and Bloomington have met 12 times and there is room for one more match-up!

Bud Light HogTalk returns this week at Shooter's North. The show is hosted by Jim Stone and Double T and this week's show will feature IceHogs skaters Jesse Bennefield and Bryce Cockburn The show runs from 7-8 p.m. and also features IceHogs Head Coach Steve Martinson. Come on out and talk IceHogs hockey and take advantage of some Bud Light specials at Shooter's North.

Rockford IceHogs fans can catch all IceHogs Regular and Post Season games on Rockford's Voice, WNTA-AM 1330. Fans can also watch and listen to the Hogs on the World Wide Web with the B2 Networks! Once again this season, ESPN Radio "The Jock" 1380 AM will broadcast 20 Hogs games during the regular season. Check your local listings for game times and dates. Also, fans with Insight Cable television can tune in to Channel 57 for all the IceHogs hockey action this season. The broadcast begins with the Pregame Show 30 minutes before the puck drops.
