Winnipeg Blue Bombers News Release

WINNIPEG, MB – The following is the Day 19 report from the 2004 Winnipeg Blue Bombers Training Camp.

PRE-GAME PREPARATIONS – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers held a morning walk-through practice at Canad Inns Stadium in preparation for their game against the British Columbia Lions Thursday. The players met with the media, as did head coach Dave Ritchie in a news conference that followed the practice. In the afternoon and early evening, the players had special teams meetings and film review.

TOMORROW – The Blue Bombers face the British Columbia Lions at Canad Inns Stadium at 7:30 p.m. CDT in the second pre-season contest for both sides. The Blue Bombers will dress 54 players, the Lions 50.

CUTDOWN DATE #2 – All CFL teams must reduce their rosters to 40 players, plus up to six more on the practice roster, by 2:00 p.m. CDT Saturday. Players on the injured roster do not count towards that total. For Winnipeg, that means they could release up to 10 players. Visit www.bluebombers.com Saturday for all the cuts as they are announced.
