Trail Blazers Host Free Clinic for Idaho Youth

BOISE, Idaho, July 6, 2010 - The Portland Trail Blazers have teamed up with the Idaho Stampede to host a free basketball clinic for youth on July 12, 2010 from 10am - 1pm at the Homecourt Y.M.C.A. in Meridian, Id.

The Trail Blazers "Make It Better" Statewide Summer Tour, presented by Kia Motors, will visit communities throughout Oregon & Idaho to host free kids' basketball clinics and visit with fans, broadcast affiliates and corporate partners. The tour will feature visits from Trail Blazers senior executives, team alumni and the Stampede mascot AAA Rumble as well as dance team members.

The clinic focuses on teaching the basic skills of the game to youth players as well as to educate them on the rules of basketball. All participants will receive a t-shirt and as well as other giveaway items from the Blazers and the Stampede.

Children ages 7-14 of all basketball skill levels are welcome and registration is limited to the first two hundred. Parents can find the registration form online at idahostampede.com or call the Idaho Stampede office at 208-388-4667.
