Trade Brings McNeill to Wolves for Kristo

GLENVIEW, Ill. - The Chicago Wolves announced Saturday that defenseman Ryan McNeill has joined the team following a National Hockey League trade where the St. Louis Blues sent right wing Danny Kristo to the Pittsburgh Penguins in exchange for McNeill.
McNeill, 24, was selected by Pittsburgh in the sixth round of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. He has posted 4 goals, 21 assists and 319 penalty minutes in 190 career appearances for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins since making his American Hockey League debut in 2012-13.
The London, Ontario, native contributed 1 goal, 1 assist, a +2 plus/minus rating and 21 penalty minutes in 14 games for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton this season. He made his professional debut in 2012-13 with the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL) and posted 2 goals and 4 assists in 44 games.
Kristo, 26, registered 2 assists, a -2 plus/minus rating and 2 penalty minutes in eight games for the Wolves this season. The Edina, Minn., native paced the Wolves with 25 goals last year and ranked second on the squad with 48 points.
The Wolves host Salute to Military Families Night, presented by Illinois Lottery Veterans Cash Ticket, at 7 p.m. today at Allstate Arena.
