ROSEMONT, IL - Iowa Wild (6-10-0-1, 13 points) were defeated by the Chicago Wolves (6-7-1-1, 14 points) 5-0 on Saturday night in front of 13,478 fans at Allstate Arena. Chicago goalie Pheonix Copley (2-2-0) stopped all 20 shots he faced from Iowa, securing his first shutout of the season. Rookie forward Bryce Gervais led Chicago's offense with two goals. Wolves' forwards Andrew Agozzino, Samuel Blais and Wade Megan also scored in the win. Iowa goalie Steve Michalek (4-5-1) stopped 17 of 22 in defeat. Iowa plays next at 7 PM on Tuesday at Manitoba.

Chicago jumped out to a 1-0 lead with a goal merely 80 seconds into the game. Winger Landon Ferraro curled the puck behind the net and swung out to the right side of the Wild goal. Ferarro slipped a pass cross-crease to Wade Megan, who beat Steve Michalek for his fifth goal of the year.

Despite holding Chicago to only two shots on goal, Iowa saw its deficit doubled by the end of the period. The Wild outshot the Wolves 7-2 in the middle frame. Chicago's Samuel Blais finished off an odd-man rush at 17:34 of the middle period to make it 2-0. Center Alex Freisen sent a cross-ice feed to Blais, who ripped a one-timer past Michalek. Wolves forward Kenny Agostino added an assist on Blais' second goal of the year.

Chicago scored twice over a 46-second span to make it a 4-0 lead. Wolves forward Andrew Agozzino scored a power-play goal at 5:34 for the 3-0 lead. Winger Brett Sterling and defenseman Vince Dunn set up Agozinno's third goal of the season. Not even a minute later, forward Bryce Gervais drove the net and found a rebound for his second goal of the season. Defenseman Jordan Schmaltz and Blais each had an assist on the play that made it 4-0. Gervais connected for his second tally of the night at 15:12 for the 5-0 lead. Emerson Clark and Connor Bleackley each had an assist on Gervais' third goal of the year.

The Wild continues a seven-game road trip through December 3. The team plays games in Chicago, Manitoba, Charlotte and Grand Rapids. The Wild returns back to Des Moines to welcome the Milwaukee Admirals on Tuesday, Dec. 6. The game is Kids Eat Free Tuesday, sponsored by 96.5 Country and Goodhue Nolte Insurance. All kids 12 and under eat free with (1) Crash's Kids Meal, which includes one hotdog, one soda, one popcorn, one fruit snack and an Iowa Wild prize. Fans may also bring in their Subway receipt to purchase a ticket for only $5.
