Condors host Stockton on Ninja Night

Puck drops at 6 p.m.; first 2,000 kids, 12 and under, get ninja masks

CONDORSTOWN, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors (5-6-0-0) host the Stockton Heat (7-3-1-0) on Dignity Health Home Ice at Rabobank Arena at 6 p.m. Doors open at 5 p.m. and at 4:45 p.m. for season ticket members.

PROMOTION: Ninja Night presented by My45, Energy 95.3 FM, & Diamond IT. The first 2,000 kids, 12 and under will take home a Condors Ninja Mask and there will be ninjas roaming the concourse for pictures and fun.

TONIGHT

The Bakersfield Condors play their lone game of the weekend against the Stockton Heat. Bakersfield and Stockton meet 12 times this season. Last season, the Condors went 7-4-1-0 against the Heat, including a 4-1-1-0 record on home ice. Stockton has won four of five coming into action tonight.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT

After a scoreless opening period, the Condors and Manitoba Moose combined for five goals on Wednesday in the second period, with the Moose securing a 4-1 victory. D Joey LaLeggia scored his first goal of the season after having two assists on Saturday night.

Stockton won last night at home, 2-1, in overtime thanks to a C Matt Bailey goal just over a minute into the extra session. Rookie David Rittich won his second straight start with 25 saves on 26 shots.

SCORING TRENDS

The first period has been the Condors strongest this season, outscoring opponents 10-6. However, the third period has proved difficult for the team with a -5 goal differential and being outscored 12-7 in the final period of regulation.

BECK'S STREAK

In addition to having a season-high six-game point streak, RW Taylor Beck has been held without out a point just twice this season. Those came on back-to-back games, Oct. 22 v Tucson and Oct. 28 at San Jose. The point streak has spanned 20 days and a call-up to the Edmonton Oilers.

CONDORS NOTES

Bakersfield has won three straight Saturday contests with each of the last three coming on the heels of a loss in the game prior... D David Musil played in his 200th AHL game on Wednesday morning... Wednesday was the first time the Condors had outshot an opponent (30-23) since Oct. 22 against Tucson, a span of seven games... RW Taylor Beck is on a six-game point streak with 13 points (5g-8a) during the stretch. He is tied for 4th in the AHL scoring race with 16 points (5g-11a)... All five of the Condors victories this season have come when the team has scored the opening gol (5-1-0-0).

HEAT NOTES

G David Rittich is sixth among qualified goaltenders with a 2.00 goals-against average... Rookie C Mark Jankowski is tied for 4th among rookies with 12 points (3g-9a). He was a collegiate teammate at Providence College of Condors G Nick Ellis... The Heat have the 2nd best scoring offense in the AHL at 3.91 GF/game and the eighth-best defense at 2.64 GA/game.
