Stockton, CA - Goaltender Jack Campbell made 32 saves in his return to the lineup, but the Stockton Heat (7-3-1-0) slipped past the Ontario Reign (6-3-4-0) 2-1 in overtime at Stockton Arena Friday evening.

Game Summary

Reign forward Justin Auger opened the scoring 14:50 in the contest catching a pass from forward Brett Sutter and burying the puck past the glove of Heat netminder David Rittich (W, 25 saves on 26 shots) off the top of the crease. Forward Mike Amadio added the second assist. The Heat responded with 4.6 seconds left in the first period as forward Brandon Bollig beat Reign goalie Jack Campbell (OTL, 32 saves on 34 shots) over the blocker.

The two sides slugged it out over the next 40 minutes, but neither team could solve the goaltending showdown. For the sixth time in 12 contests, the Reign would head to overtime where Heat forward Matt Bailey would poke in a loose puck under Campbell 62 seconds into the extra skate.
