TORONTO, ON. - Yann Danis picked up his first win of the season as the St. John's IceCaps extended their winning streak to three in a 2-1 victory over the Toronto Marlies Saturday night at the Ricoh Coliseum in Toronto, Ontario.

The Marlies struck first, on the powerplay, as Kasperi Kapanen dented the twine at 3:40 of the first period. The IceCaps scored the game-tying and winning goals in the second. Markus Eisenschmid squared the contest at 6:57 of the middle frame (from Max Friberg and Bobby Farnham), while Friberg potted the game winner at 15:20 with assists from Eisenschmid and Farnham.

Danis was spectacular between the pipes, turning aside 26 shots.
