Toros stung by Mad Ants in OT

AUSTIN, TX (March 10, 2009) - Chris Hunter hit two key free throws to send the game into overtime and the Fort Wayne Mad Ants pulled off a 113-110 victory over the Toros Tuesday night at the Austin Convention Center.

The Mad Ants rallied from as many as 16 points down in the 4th quarter led by Chris Hunter's 29 points and 12 rebounds and a triple double by Walker Russell. Russell had 19 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists and Ron Howard added 28 for the Mad Ants.

"Tonight was a great game against a great team," said Mad Ants Head Coach, Jaren Jackson. "It came down to a battle of wills at the end, and we were able to pull out the victory."

The Toros took their first lead of the game during the first quarter on an Ezra Williams three-pointer. The Toros extended their first quarter lead to as many as 11 in the 2nd quarter thanks to 15 points from Marcus Williams.

Marcus Williams led the Toros with 34 points and 8 rebounds. Dwayne Jones added 23 points and 16 rebounds to the Toros efforts.

The Toros begin a nine game road trip on Friday against the Tulsa 66ers.
