AUSTIN, Texas, Dec. 30, 2006 - Jeff Graves scored 24 points and 13 rebounds as the Idaho Stampede defeated the Austin Toros 101-84 on Saturday night at the Austin Convention Center. The Stampede (7-7) won their second game in a row and shot over 65 percent from the field for the game.

Idaho outscored Austin 29-13 in the first quarter and kept the cushion for the rest of the game. The Toros cut the lead to only eight points in the third quarter on a pair of Jamar Smith free throws but the Stampede responded with a 11-2 run to close out the quarter.

The Stampede had six players in double figures including Peter Ramos (14), Ricky Sanchez (12) and Luke Jackson scored 23 points and dished out seven assists.

Despite taking 20 more free throws in the game than Idaho, the Toros couldn't overcome the all-around hot shooting of the Stampede. Austin shot poorly from the three-point line (3-14) three pointers on the night compared to Idaho (7-11).

Newly re-assigned San Antonio Spurs forward James White had an all around game with team-high 23 points, six steals and three assists for the Toros, who fell to 1-13 on the season. Jamar Smith scored 17 and led the team in rebounds with 12.

Both the Toros and the Stampede don't play again until next year when both teams return to action on January 4th. The Toros travel to Bakersfield to take on the Jam and the Stampede take on the Arsenal in Anaheim.
