Toronto Recalls Three From Reading

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League and the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, today announced that forwards Alex Berry and Greg Scott and defenseman Joey Ryan have been recalled by the Marlies from the Royals. All three of those players were assigned from Toronto to Reading yesterday and played (and picked up a point) in the Royals' 6-3 loss to the Kalamazoo Wings at the Sovereign Center. In his first game for Reading, Berry assisted on the Royals' first goal yesterday by Andrew Sarauer at the 14:19 mark of the first period to tie the game at one. Playing in his twenty-eighth game this season for Reading, Ryan registered an assist on that same goal. Playing in his fifth game for Reading this year, Scott picked up an assist on the Royals' second goal of the game-a power play goal by Aaron Brocklehurst to give Reading a 2-1 lead at the 18:18 mark of the second period.

The Royals are back in action on Saturday (March 6, 2010 @ 7:05) when the Johnstown Chiefs visit the Sovereign Center. The Royals game night broadcast on the Royals Radio Network presented by Transmissions by Arbogast will begin at 6:35 pm.
