Last Week:

The Marlies posted a record of 1-0-1-0 in two games this past week. On Friday night, Toronto traveled down the QEW for their third meeting of the season against the Hamilton Bulldogs, AHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens.

Despite Josh Leivo scoring his first goal of the season just over five minutes into the game, the Marlies were defeated 2-1 in overtime.

Martin St. Pierre tallied both goals for the Bulldogs, while goaltender Drew MacIntyre stopped 35 of 37 shots in the loss.

In their second game of the week, the Marlies defeated the Utica Comets, AHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks, by a score of 5-2 last night. Defenceman T.J.

Brennan notched three points (two goals, one assist) and was named the game's first star. Sam Carrick and Jesse Blacker both tallied their first goals of the season, while Drew MacIntyre earned his sixth victory of the year.

Look Ahead:

The Marlies will take to the ice for two games this coming week. Toronto is set to make their first and only trip to British Columbia this weekend. The Marlies will take to the ice on Saturday and Sunday for two games against the Abbotsford Heat, AHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames. Last season the Marlies collected just two wins in eight meetings with the Heat.

Rookie Corban Knight currently leads Abbotsford in scoring with 12 points (four goals, eight assists) in 13 games. Goaltender Joni Ortio has yet to suffer a loss this season, having posted a record of 4-0-0-0. In his rookie season, Ortio has a goals against average of 1.84 and a 0.936 save percentage.

Puck drop for Saturday's game is 10 p.m. (ET), while Sunday's contest will be played at 7 p.m. (ET).
