
Toronto FC Select Griffin Dorsey and Adam Wilson in 2019 MLS SuperDraft

Toronto FC made two selections in today's Major League Soccer SuperDraft, which was held in Chicago. With the sixth overall pick in the first round, TFC picked midfielder Griffin Dorsey out of Indiana University, and with their second round pick (39th overall) the Reds selected midfielder Adam Wilson out of the University of Louisville.
Dorsey, 19, a member of MLS Generation adidas, appeared in 44 matches in two seasons for Indiana, registering eight goals and 11 assists. In 2018 he was named to the United Soccer Coaches (USC) Second Team All-America, USC First Team All-North Region, First Team All-Big 10 Conference and Academic All-Big 10 Conference. Dorsey was named Second Team All-Big 10 Conference and Big 10 Conference All-Freshman Team as a freshman in 2017. Dorsey also played US Soccer Development Academy soccer for the Colorado Rush.
Wilson, 21, a native of Scotland, split his collegiate career between the University of Cincinnati (2015 - 2016) and the University of Louisville (2017 - 2018). With Cincinnati, he appeared in 36 career matches, registering seven goals and 18 assists. He was named American Athletic Conference Midfielder of the Year, All-American Conference First Team and NSCAA All-East Region Second Team during the 2016 season. In two seasons at Louisville, Wilson appeared in 36 career matches, registering five goals and nine assists for the Cardinals.
TRANSACTION: Toronto FC selected Generation adidas midfielder Griffin Dorsey (6th Overall) in the First Round and Adam Wilson in the Second Round (39th Overall) of the 2019 MLS SuperDraft.
