Toronto FC Fans Encouraged to Plan Ahead for Saturday's Match
Published on September 24, 2014 under Major League Soccer (MLS)
Toronto FC News Release
Toronto FC encourages fans attending Saturday's match to plan ahead and arrive well in advance of kickoff to avoid possible traffic delays and congestion due to the Gardiner Expressway closure all weekend for maintenance. The downtown highway will be closed starting Friday night at 11 p.m. until Monday at 5 a.m. With the Gardiner closed, the city suggest other options in commuting, such as taking public transit or consider alternate routes such as Lake Shore Blvd., The Queensway, Richmond St., King St., Queen St. and Evans Ave. as alternative routes.
Toronto FC hosts the Portland Timbers at BMO Field on Saturday, September 27. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. ET.
