Toronto FC Announce 2020 MLS Regular Season Schedule

Toronto FC's complete 2020 Major League Soccer regular season schedule was released Thursday by MLS ahead of the upcoming season, which is the 25th season in the league's history.

The Reds will open the 14th season in club history on Saturday, February 29, at 5:30 p.m. on the road against the San Jose Earthquakes at Avaya Stadium. TFC will host New York City FC on Saturday, March 7 at 5:00 p.m. in the club's 2020 home opener.

During the 2020 season, Toronto FC will play 28 matches on Saturdays, five on Wednesdays and one on Sunday. At home, TFC will play 15 matches on Saturdays and two on Wednesdays.

Nine of the Reds' 17 home matches will be played against clubs that made the 2019 MLS Cup Playoffs. TFC will host Seattle Sounders FC on Saturday, July 18, in a match between the 2019 MLS Cup finalists. Toronto will visit their 2019 Eastern Conference final opponents, Atlanta United FC, on Wednesday, May 27, and then play host to Atlanta on Saturday, September 12. TFC will travel to play the New York Red Bulls on Decision Day, scheduled for Sunday, October 4.

Toronto FC will face "401 Derby" rivals, Montreal Impact on two occasions this season. TFC will host Montreal on Saturday, June 13, and then travel to face the Impact on Saturday, August 22. The Reds will meet their other Canadian rival, Vancouver Whitecaps FC, on Saturday, May 2 at BMO Field.
