July 4, 2011 - Canadian American League (Can-Am)
Worcester Tornadoes News Release

For the second game in a row, the Tornadoes scored first and were held runless the rest of the way. It was another pair of two-run innings that did in the Worcester ballclub, with Quebec again triumphant by a 4-1 mark. Bobby Wagner's two-RBI single in the fourth gave the Capitales all the runs they would need for the evening, and two more runs scored in the fifth on Patrick D'Aoust's homer.

Shawn Gilblair went five innings in the loss (2-3), allowing all four Quebec runs (three earned) plus five hits and a walk. He struck out seven batters, including four in a row (ending the first and striking out the side the following frame). He ended each of his first four innings with a K.

Sean Keeler, Nick Serino and Rick Asadoorian all came on for one scoreless inning each. Keeler allowed a hit, Asadoorian a walk, and the lone batter against Serino to reach did so on an Abraham Nunez error.

Bryan Rembisz picked up his fourth win (4-1) with his seven innings of work, striking out two, walking one and giving up six hits (plus the earned run).

Alex Nunez extended his hitting streak to 20 games and went 2-for-3 with a walk, including a double and the only Worcester run scored. Chris Colabello, Tony Patane and Pinch Hitter Anthony Sosnoskie all saw their respective streaks end.

Tuesday is a travel day/day off for the Tornadoes, as they are scheduled to arrive home Tuesday mid-morning. On Wednesday, it's off to Provident Bank Park for a four-game set with the Rockland Boulders.
