BURN CALLS UP MATT NAPOLEON FOR INJURED COUNTESS
The Burn has called up goalkeeper Matt Napoleon from the Portland Timbers to serve as Matt Jordan's backup for tomorrow's game as well as next Wednesday's Open Cup match in Atlanta. The call-up was necessary after D.J. Countess separated his left shoulder in training on Wednesday. Countess is estimated to be out 2-4 weeks with the injury pending results from an MRI taken yesterday. Napoleon has appeared in 14 MLS games, starting four for the Fusion in 1998 and ten with the Crew from 1999-2000.
BROOME OUT FOR SATURDAY DUE TO CAUTION POINTS
Defender Paul Broome, the only Burn player to have played every minute of every game this season, will serve a one-game suspension tomorrow due to caution points. Broome has two assists in 16 games this year.
