Toonies and Toys Night Set for December 3rd

The Owen Sound Attack, in partnership with the Owen Sound Fire Department, Owen Sound Salvation Army and Grey Motors Mazda is pleased to announce that they will be holding their 2nd Annual Toonies and Toys Night on Saturday, December 3rd when the Attack play host to the London Knights.

Fans are encouraged to bring in a new, unwrapped toy or donate a toonie, which will go towards the purchase of a new, unwrapped toy for area youth in need. People are also encouraged to bring in a non perishable food item for the Salvation Army's Christmas Food Drive. The toys can be dropped off into the Grey Motors Mazda vehicle out front of the Bayshore while the non perishable food items will be gathered into the Salvation Army truck, which will also be on site.

The Attack and the Owen Sound Fire Department will also be holding a puck toss during the 2nd Intermission that evening, which will see proceeds from puck sales going towards the funds necessary to purchase new toys for area youth.

Toonies and Toys Night is an initiative started by the Owen Sound Fire Department and the Owen Sound Attack intended to assist local families with food and gifts around the holiday season. "There is a real need for toys and gifts this time of year for children in this area.", stated Wayne Flood of the Owen Sound Fire Department. "Last year, our local department assisted almost 1000 local families."

"We are very pleased to be partnering with the Owen Sound Fire Department and the Salvation Army in this initiative once again.", stated Brent Fisher, Director of Marketing and Public Relations for the Owen Sound Attack. "Helping people in our community in need is very important to us, especially this time of year. This is a great event that should benefit a lot of area families."

December 3rd is a great night for the whole family to come and enjoy the Attack game as the annual meet the team autograph session will take place in the lobby immediately following the game.
