The Owen Sound Attack has named overage goaltender Scott Stajcer the Becker Shoes Attacker of the Week for the week ending Sunday, November 20th, 2011.
On Wednesday night against the Erie Otters, Scott stopped 32 of 33 shots, earning first star honours in a 3-1 victory. The 20 year old Cambridge native rode his fine play into London on Sunday evening where he stopped 46 of 49 shots in a 3-2 overtime loss, once again earning first star honours. Stajcer finished the weekend with a 1-0-1-0 record to go along with an impressive 1.98 GAA and .951 save percentage.
The 6'03 New York Rangers prospect has appeared in 9 games this season, posting a 3-3-2-1 record, however; has an outstanding goals against average of 2.41 and save percentage of .929. Scott's victory on Wednesday evening was the 50th of his Ontario Hockey League Career.
