DES MOINES - Linebacker Tony Jones has earned a contract with the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League (CFL).
Tony Jones had a standout season with the Iowa Barnstormers in 2021. In his rookie IFL debut, Jones recorded 79 tackles, nine from behind the line of scrimmage, along with 3.5 sacks, one forced fumble, and two fumble recoveries.
A force to be reckoned with, Jones caused turmoil for opposing offenses in every matchup, leading the Barnstormers into the playoffs.
Jones' incredible season did not go unnoticed, earning him numerous IFL honors at the end of the season being named to First team All-IFL, All-Rookie Team, and Defensive Rookie of the Year.
Jones will now join the Toronto Argonauts of the CFL in 2022.
