DES MOINES - The Iowa Barnstormers have signed offensive lineman Jonte Berry to the 2022 roster, Head Coach Dave Mogensen announced today.
Berry (6-4, 325, NW Oklahoma State) joins the Iowa Barnstormers for his first season with the team. Collegiately, Berry began his career at Kilgore College before transferring to Northwestern Oklahoma State where he played three seasons with the Rangers before becoming a graduate assistant.
No stranger to the indoor football game, Berry joined the San Diego Strike Force midway through their 2019 inaugural season, appearing in seven games. Berry intended to return for the 2020 season prior to its cancelation due to the pandemic. In 2021, Berry continued his football career in the NAL as a member of the Columbus Lions.
"Jonte is an accomplished offensive lineman who has proven to be a difference maker up front at this level," said Head Coach Mogensen. "He should push for a starting spot in camp this spring."
Berry will enter the Iowa Barnstormer 2022 Training Camp in the spring.
