Iowa Barnstormers News Release
After receiving first team all-IFL honors a week ago, the awards continue to roll in for Barnstormers linebacker Tony Jones.
The former Texas Tech Red Raider was named to the league's all-Rookie team this week after a stout first season in the IFL.
Jones ended the season with 79 total tackles, good for fourth in the league with an average of 7.2 per game.
He was also a force on creating turmoil for visiting offenses.
While leading the team to its fourth straight IFL Playoffs birth, Jones corralled 3.5 sacks as well as a pair of fumble recoveries and a forced fumble to go with it.
Jones' play landed the Barnstormers in the quarterfinals of the postseason, and while Iowa didn't advance to the semifinals, it remained a special season.
Season Tickets for the 2022 season will be available soon. Fans can join the Waiting List for first access at seats for next season! For more information, contact the Barnstormers front office at 515-633-2255 or visit www.theiowabarnstormers.com.
