Augusta GreenJackets News Release

Augusta, GA - Monday's opener of a three-game series between the Augusta GreenJackets and the Rome Braves has been postponed due to unplayable field conditions as the result of heavy and persistent rains over the last 36 hours.

The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Tuesday, with first pitch of game one coming at 5:05 p.m. Gates open at 4:30 p.m.

Fans with tickets for Monday's contest can redeem their tickets for no extra charge at the Box Office for tickets of equal or lesser value to any remaining 2012 Monday regular season home game. Fans may also choose to redeem those tickets for tickets of equal or lesser value for any non-Monday home game in the 2012 regular season and will receive a voucher for a hot dog, bag of chips and soda on those dates. All exchanges must be made in person at the Box Office and tickets from the rain date must be exchanged at that time.

Clayton Blackburn (2-2, 3.04) takes the mound for the GreenJackets in the opener and will face Rome's David Filak (3-5, 4.67). First pitch comes at 5:05 p.m. with radio pregame coverage beginning at 4:50 p.m. on ESPN Radio 1340 AM and online at www.greenjacketsbaseball.com.
