Augusta GreenJackets News Release

Augusta, GA - Augusta GreenJackets right-handed pitcher Kyle Crick was named the South Atlantic League Pitcher of the Week for the Week of June 4-10 in an announcement made today by South Atlantic League President Eric Krupa.

Crick received the honor in light of his seven scoreless innings last Thursday against the Greensboro Grasshoppers. He allowed a hit and a walk while striking out a career-best ten to become the third GreenJackets starter this season to strike out ten in a single game.

This is the first time this season that the GreenJackets have had a player or pitcher win league honors. Last season, Shawn Sanford and Taylor Rogers both received Pitcher of the Week honors.

Crick and the GreenJackets open an eight-game homestand tonight on another Feed Your Face Monday. Tonight's game is slated to start at 7:05 p.m. with radio pregame coverage beginning at 6:50 p.m. on ESPN Radio 1340 AM and online at www.greenjacketsbaseball.com. Single-game tickets for any home game can currently be obtained by calling 706-922-WINS or online at www.greenjacketsbaseball.com.
