
Tomahawks Fall to Port Huron 5-0

PORT HURON, Mich.-The Johnstown Tomahawks were unable to complete the weekend sweep, falling to the Port Huron Fighting Falcons 5-0 on Saturday night at McMorran Arena.
After a scoreless first period, the Fighting Falcons got on the board first, as Reed Scahill scored at 12:37 of the second period. Matt Jones and Lucas Linville each added assists on the goal. The Fighting Falcons extended their lead, as Nick Le Sage scored an unassisted goal between the legs of Jake Moore at 2:28 of the third period. Minutes later, Moore was replaced by Alex Okicki.
Jonathan Kopacka made it 3-0 Port Huron at 6:59, with Bryan Yim and Zach Badalamenti each adding assists. Later in the period, Logan Hudson and Matt Seidel dropped the gloves at 7:21. Port Huron got two more to set the final score, as Badalamenti scored from the point at 10:09 and Seidel scored at 14:08.
Max Milosek earned the shutout win, stopping 31 shots. Moore took the loss, allowing two goals on 26 shots. Okicki allowed three goals on 10 shots in relief of Moore. Port Huron went 1-for-6 on the power play, while the Tomahawks went 0-for-6.
The Tomahawks return home next Friday & Saturday to take on the Michigan Warriors at the War Memorial. Game times are set for 7:30 p.m. on Friday and 7 p.m. on Saturday.
