January 18, 2014 - North American Hockey League (NAHL)
Topeka Pilots News Release

Looking like a team that is only getting stronger with every game, the Runners exploded in the second period to take the night and the series with a 6-1 win. Tyler Poulsen (two goals, one assist) and Jake Kamrass (one goal, two assists) led the charge for Topeka with three points each.

Sly Sutter gave the Runners the lead in the first, striking the puck home on a face off at 18:15. Poulsen scored his first of the night at :35 on a power play in the second that was held over from the previous period. Kamrass followed eight minutes later, handing Topeka a three point edge. It only took Jerad Tafoya 12 seconds to increase the lead to four, but it took another 11 minutes for him to score his second goal of the period making it 5-0 Runners after two.

In the third, the Junior Blues broke their scoreless streak of 11 periods against the Runners with a Nik Dotolo goal. But Poulsen slammed the door with the team's final goal of the night, seaaling the deal at 6-1. Despite allowing a goal, PJ Bridges lowered his goals-against-average to a stunning 1.18 and moved his record to 13-3 in net.
