
Tomahawks Announce Transaction with Amarillo

JOHNSTOWN - The Johnstown Tomahawks announced today that defenseman Jake Houston has been traded to the Amarillo Bulls. In exchange for Houston, the Tomahawks will receive second and fourth round draft picks, along with other considerations.
A native of Pittsburgh, Houston appeared in 52 games for the Tomahawks last season, scoring two goals and providing nine assists.
"Today we moved Jake Houston to Amarillo. They had a need for a player like him and we wish him the best of luck going forward, said Tomahawks head coach Mike Letizia.
The Tomahawks close out the 2015 North American Hockey League Showcase with games against Coulee Region Friday night at 8 p.m. and Lone Star Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. Live video for both games is available at www.fasthockey.com.
Johnstown opens its 2015-16 home schedule Oct. 16 and 17 against New Jersey, with a special appearance by Hockey Hall of Famer and National Hockey League legend Bobby Hull scheduled for the Oct. 16 game.
