
Bruins Beat Rebels

The Austin Bruins beat the Rebels tonight 4-2 behind Jade Miller's two goal game. The Rebels opened the scoring at the 13:29 mark of the first period when Guy Roby took a pass from Ryan Solomon and had a highlight reel goal. Austin tied the game thirty seconds later when Jacob Paganelli beat Rebels goalie Tim Grounds. Thirty seconds later the Rebels when on the offensive when Evgeny Yakovlev scored on the power play from Dean Balsamo and Gvido Janson.
Austin's Jade Miller then turned the game around. First, he scored a shorthanded goal at the 5:56 mark of the second period. He then scored at the 9:12 of the second period on a power play goal to give the Bruins the lead for good. AJ Drobot of Churchville, PA scored and unassisted goal for the Bruins at the 16:45 mark of the middle period.
Trevor Micucci replaced Tim Grounds to start the third and made some very nice saves to keep the Rebels in it. However, it wasn't enough as the Rebels head into the final game of the Showcase to face the Amarillo Bulls at 9:00am CT.
