Tom Pace Named U.S. Army Ironman of the Week

Phoenix, AZ – The Arena Football League has announced that WR/LB Tom Pace was named the U.S. Army Ironman of the Week. Pace had two kickoff returns for touchdowns in last Saturday's 54-44 win over the San Jose SaberCats.

Pace, an Arizona State product, is in his third year with the Rattlers. In addition to his two kickoff returns for touchdowns, Pace added 6.5 tackles, a pass break-up, and three receptions for 41 yards. This is the first AFL weekly award for Pace. On the season, Pace has 47 receptions for 560 yards and eight touchdowns to go along with his 32.5 tackles. His two touchdowns on Saturday give him three kickoff return touchdowns this season.

The Rattlers finish up the 2005 season in Las Vegas, where they try to knock the Gladiators out of the playoffs. The Sunday, May 22nd game can be heard on ESPN Radio 860 AM.
