Colorado Crush News Release

RAPIDS VS. DALLAS: The Rapids vs. Dallas series stands at 14-15-4. The Rapids have gotten the edge on FC Dallas/Dallas Burn in all games played at INVESCO Field at Mile High since it opened in 2002. The Black and Blue has dominated Dallas 4-0-3, outscoring the Texas side 12 goals to 7 and securing 14 out of the 18 points in play at the Mile High pitch. In the last five games against the Texas franchise, the Rapids hold a 1-1-3 record.

CUNNINGHAM, THE SCORING MACHINE: With Jeff Cunningham's goal in last weekend's game against Chivas USA, the Jamaican-born player netted his fourth strike for the Black and Blue in only 99 minutes on the field. Cunningham, who has been hindered by injuries since the beginning of the season, has scored in every single game he has come in as a sub for Fernando Clavijo's team. He has netted one goal every 24.75 minutes.

RESERVE TEAM PERFORMANCE: The Colorado Rapids Reserves got their first victory in the 2005 MLS Reserve Tournament last weekend, when they defeated the Chivas USA Reserves 2-1 in a game played on Sunday, May 15 at the Black and Blue's Westminster Training Facility in Colorado. Goals by Rapids Midfielder Mark Chung and striker Wolde Harris gave the Black and Blue their first win. The Reserve team is now 1-2-1.

WOLDE IS HERE TO STAY: A scoreboard promotion at last Saturday's game created some confusion among fans and media members, when the big screen at the stadium mistakenly posted an incorrect statement about Jamaican striker Wolde Harris' future with the team. An answer to the weekly Rapids Trivia Question posted on the DiamondVision revealed Wolde Harris as the correct choice to the question: "What current Rapids player is tied for 1st place in the all-time MLS ‘Consecutive Games With Goals Scored' category?" However, Wolde's name was shown incorrectly on a template left over from the previous Rapids home game when the answer was displayed, which read: "Which former Rapids midfielder announced his retirement this week?" (The answer was Ross Paule). In no way has Wolde Harris announced his retirement from the MLS or the Rapids. The Rapids and INVESCO Field regret the error, and apologies to both Wolde Harris and any fans that might have been misled.
