Walleye Notes
- Past Week Performance: Toledo finished this past week with a 0-1-0-0 record. Toledo dropped their lone game of the week 2-0 in Chicago. It was the first time this season that the Walleye have been held without a goal. Goaltender Thomas McCollum turned aside 21 of the 23 shots he faced in the defeat.
- Shots on Goal: Toledo has held a shot advantage in three of the four games played this season. The lone game that the Walleye did not hold that advantage was on October 22 against South Carolina (3-2 win) as they were out-shot 39-35. Toledo put 15 shots on goal in the third period on Saturday in Chicago.
- McCollum is In: Walleye goaltender Thomas McCollum has appeared in all four games so far this season (three starts). Thomas has a record of 1-2-0-0 on the season and finished the month with a 3.03 goals against average and a .892 save percentage.
- October's Best! Forward Evan Rankin paced Toledo in October with four points (3 goals, 1 assist). Mike Pelech was the team leader in assists with three. Forward David Gilbert (1g, 1a) and defenseman Gleason Fournier (0g, 2a) were the top scoring rookies with two points each.
- Gametime! The Walleye play three road games this week. The first will be Thursday night in Greenville. The Walleye went 0-1-1 against the Road Warriors last year and are 81-39-15 all-time against the Greenville franchise, which includes their time in Johnstown. Saturday, the Walleye will skate in South Carolina. Toledo defeated the Stingrays 3-2 on October 22 in Toledo. The week concludes with a Sunday stop in Gwinnett. Toledo is 6-5-0 all-time against the Gladiators. The Walleye won three of the four games played against Gwinnet last year.
