
Stingrays Weekly: Stingrays Prepare for Four Games in Five Nights

The Week That Was...
The South Carolina Stingrays battled the Reading Royals and Elmira Jackals in a three-game in three-night set last week for a record of 3-0-0-0. On Thursday, the Stingrays continued a five-game road trip with a stop Reading, Pennsylvania and skated away with a 4-1 win over the Royals. Forwards David de Kastrozza (1g, 1a) and Danick Paquette (2g) each had two-point nights. The Stingrays quickly moved to First Arena in Elmira, New York to square off against the Jackals on Friday and Saturday. The Stingrays went 4-for-14 on the power play Friday night and scored a shorthanded goal to defeat the Jackals 5-2. Forwards Matt Pope (1g, 1a), Trent Campbell (1g, 1a), Jerry Pollastrone (1g, 1a), Pierre-Luc O'Brien (2g) and defenseman Johann Kroll (2a) all registered two-point games. The road trip concluded with a 5-3 Stingrays victory over the Jackals on Saturday. Forward Billy Ryan netted two goals in his Stingrays debut and Pope (1g, 1a), de Kastrozza (1g, 1a) and forward Sean Dolan (2a) each had two points.

Goaltender Philipp Grubauer ranks eighth with a 2.00 goals-against average and fourth with a .935 save percentage.
Netminder Daren Machesney is 18 in the league with a 2.96 goals-against average.
Rookie Sean Dolan is 16 among first-year players with five points (2g, 3a) and first with five power-play points.
Defenseman Zach Tarkir is eighth among ECHL D-men with six points (1g, 5a).
