Tobs Announce Fall League

WILSON, N.C - Are you looking for a way for your child to continue to sharpen their baseball skills this fall? Well, the Wilson Tobs have just the thing for you! The club announced today they will host their second annual Fall League which will take place at Historic Fleming Stadium.

The league, which is tentatively scheduled to begin on Friday, August 24, will give high school baseball players (9th through 12th grade) the opportunity to continue to develop their skills by continuing to play games throughout the fall in a competitive league run by the Wilson Tobs staff.

Players will have the chance to play each week as the fall league is scheduled for one weekday game in addition to tournaments which will be held on the weekends and all games will be played at Fleming Stadium. The cost to participate in the Wilson Tobs Fall League is just $195 and includes a hat, shirt and the chance to continue to play our national pastime.

The Wilson Tobs are a proud member of the Coastal Plain League, the nation's hottest summer collegiate baseball league. Celebrating its 16th season in 2012, the CPL features 14 teams playing in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. The CPL gives college players the chance to refine their skills with the use of wooden bats. Players are housed with local families for the summer and past experiences have been very positive for both the players and hosts. Furthermore, the CPL has had over 1,000 alumni drafted and 53 alums - including 2011 AL MVP and CY Young winner Justin Verlander - make their Major League debut thus far.
