Wilson Tobs News Release

WILSON, N.C.- The Wilson Tobs announced Friday afternoon that they have added a double-header to their schedule for Saturday, June 4, in order to make up for the rainout on June 1.

The June 1 game was scheduled to be played against Morehead City on the road, but rain flooded Big Rock Stadium the night prior, making the field un-playable.

The first game of the double-header with start at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday afternoon. Gates open at 2:00p.m. and it will be a 7-inning game. Concessions will be available though, and there will be music and public address.

You will also be able to listen to the game live on the Coastal Plain League Webpass if you opt to forgo the first contest.

The second game will take place at its normally scheduled time of 7:00 p.m. with the full Tobs experience back in place. It's the 5th Annual Beer and BBQ Festival and for $16, fans get a ticket to the game, an all-you-can-eat BBQ wristband, and 10 two-ounce beer samples. Samplings will begin at 5:30 p.m.

Due to league policy, the 7:00 p.m. will also be a regulation 7-inning game.

After the game, Thomas Law Attorneys presents fireworks! It's only one of two chances to see firecrackers at Fleming Stadium this year, so don't miss out.

Tickets for the original game at 7:00 p.m. are good for the first game at 2:30 as well. We will also be selling tickets at the box office good for both games.
