(Portland, OR and Santa Monica, CA) - In celebration of Black History Month, Tixr, the world's fastest-growing privately held primary ticketing and event commerce marketplace, is thrilled to announce a celebratory partnership with Portland's Rip City Remix G League basketball team, dedicated to making a positive impact on the community. In the spirit of fostering inclusivity and recognizing the Black community, Tixr, and the Rip City Remix have collaborated to donate courtside tickets to Portland-based Black-owned businesses and community organizations for their game on February 27th at Chiles Center.

"Courtside tickets have long been symbolic of proximity to the heart of the action, and Tixr is committed to delivering unique and elevated experiences," said Nate Liberman Tixr's Vice President of Sports. "Black-owned businesses continue to make a dynamic impact on the Portland community and we believe this is a fun way to recognize the contributions Portland's Black business leaders have made to the Rip City community."

Local Black-owned businesses can claim a pair of tickets on a first-come, first-served basis by contacting Natalie Abele, Rip City Remix Director of Partnerships, at natalie.abele@ripcity.com.

"As we bring our Portland community together to host our inaugural Black History Month game, we are excited to collaborate with Tixr to celebrate local Black business leaders and nonprofits like Black Parent Initiative making an impact," said Hannah Grauert, Rip City Remix President. "Fostering spaces of equity and inclusion are key to the success of any organization, making it crucial we recognize those leading the way in Rip City."

Ranked #25 on a16z's Marketplace 100: 2023 list, Tixr exclusively powers more than 500 of the most respected live entertainment and sports brands in 40 countries, including Wynn Nightlife, Riot Fest, Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach, Riot Games Arena, Luke Bryan's Crash My Playa, Sturgis Buffalo Chip, Lightning in a Bottle, Portland Trail Blazers' new G-League Affiliate Rip City Remix, and many others. With notable backers like Dragoneer Investment Group, Verance Capital, Helium-3 Ventures, and Sony Innovation Growth Fund, the 10-year-old, founder-led company is well-capitalized and profitable.
