Trenton Devils News Release
TRENTON, NJ (September 28, 2005) - The Trenton Titans announced on Wednesday that they have signed a one-year affiliation agreement with the New York Islanders of the National Hockey League and their AHL affiliate, the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. The Titans will remain affiliated with the Philadelphia Flyers (NHL) and Phantoms (AHL).
"We are excited to be able to put this deal together with the Islanders," said Jim Leahy, General Manager and COO of the Trenton Titans. "With the Mississippi Sea Wolves unfortunately not able to take this ice this season, we're happy to help the Islanders place their prospects for the 2005-06 season."
The Titans and Islanders renew an affiliation that existed from 2001-2003, as Trenton has had thirteen players in its six-year history make appearances with the Sound Tigers.
"We are happy to form this affiliation with the Trenton Titans organization," said New York Islanders General Manager, Mike Milbury. "Not only will we able to have our younger prospects skate with yet another quality organization, but, given the proximity of our clubs, we will be able to see them on the ice often as well."
Individual game tickets for the Trenton Titans' 2005-06 regular season are now available at the Sovereign Bank Arena Box Office or by calling 1-888-SBA-TIXX.
