September 28, 2005 - ECHL (ECHL)
Idaho Steelheads News Release
BOISE, Idaho - The Idaho Steelheads announced today that forward Matt Reid has signed a contract with the team and will report for physicals on October 6th.
The 6'0", 200-pound Canadian played at the University of British Columbia from 1999-2004, and compiled 32 goals, 42 assists and 155 penalty minutes in 164 games. He played his first professional season last year with the Johnstown Chiefs of the ECHL and tallied 11 goals, 9 assists, and 27 penalty minutes in 62 games.
Steelheads head coach Derek Laxdal said, "We're looking forward to bringing Matt on board to compete for a spot on the team. He's got character - was captain of his team a couple of years ago, and he's a good penalty killer and role player - good ingredients we need to bring home a championship."
The Idaho Steelheads opening night is slated for October 21st against the Long Beach Ice Dogs. Steelheads' season ticket packages are on sale now. Tickets may be purchased by calling 208.383.0080. A variety of packages are available, including Full Season Tickets, Flex Plans, Suite Rentals, Group Outings, and a NEW 12-pack Weekend Mini Plan starting at just $169.
