TRENTON, NJ (March 11, 2006) - The Trenton Titans were never able to catch up to the Toledo Storm falling 5-1 at Sovereign Bank Arena early Saturday afternoon.

4,616 in attendance saw Ken Magowan open the scoring for the Storm with an even strength tally at 10:41 in the first period. Former Titan Matt Zultek would double the lead to 2-0 three minutes later, muscling past the Titan defense at 13:43.

Jim Henkel's power play goal at 18:08 pulled the Titans to within one in the closing minutes of the period, with Scott Bertoli and Mike Jarmuth drawing the assists.

Ryan Reid of Toledo would take the wind out of the Titans' sails as he scored the only goal of the period, on an unassisted breakaway with just over a minute remaining in the second.

The Storm added two more even strength goals in the third period, as Matt Schmidt and Jason Maleyko put the puck past Titan netminder Rejean Beauchemin.

Trenton finished the contest 1-6 on the power play and a perfect 5-5 on the penalty kill.

With the loss, the Titans have gone seven in a row without a victory.

The Titans will try to rebound on Sunday, March 12, 2006, as they take on the Storm again for a 3:00pm match-up. Go to www.trentontitans.com to hear all the live Titans action courtesy of b2 networks.
