Ice Pilots Winning Streak Halted

Pensacola, FL - The Pensacola Ice Pilots winning streak was halted at two games as the Ice Pilots fell to the South Carolina Stingrays 4 1 at the North Charleston Coliseum.

Ice Pilots Bryson Busniuk scored the games first goal at the 16:22 mark of the first period and would prove to be the Ice Pilots only goal of the game. South Carolina goaltender Kirk Daubenspeck stopped 23 of 24 shots from the Ice Pilots in his first appearance in goal for the Stingrays.

South Carolina out shot Pensacola in the second period 25 3 and tallied two power play goals to take a 2 1 lead through two periods of play. The Stingrays scored twice in the third period to seal the victory. David Cann suffered the defeat in goal for Pensacola.

The two teams square off again tomorrow night at 6:05pm in Charleston. The Ice Pilots road swing continues against Augusta on Sunday, March 12th and at Greenville Tuesday, March 14th. The Ice Pilots return home to face the South Carolina Stingrays on Friday, March 17th and Saturday, March 18th at the Pensacola Civic Center.
