READING, PA (March 20, 2005) - For the second game in a row, the Titans used overtime to gain a win as they downed the Reading Royals 2-1 in front of 5,288 at the Sovereign Center.
Jeff Smith broke the scoreless tie with a goal on the breakaway beating Cody Rudkowsky to glove side at 15:58 of the first period.
The Royals would tie the score 1-1 in the second period when Craig Mischler notched his ninth of the season with 5:01 left before the intermission.
After a scoreless third period, Leon Hayward registered the game-winning, overtime goal for the Titans as he deflected Matt Libby's wrist shot past Rudkowsky at 2:47 of the extra session.
Andrew Allen stopped 33 of 34 shots to go to 22-10-3 on the season. Trenton went 0-for2 on the power play and 4-for-4 on the penalty kill.
