WHEELING, WV - Ed McGrane's two-goal night and Andy Chiodo's 33-save performance were enough to send the Trenton Titans to a 4-1 loss at the hands of the Wheeling Nailers.
The 3,554 in attendance at WesBanco Arena saw the Nailers break a scoreless tie 6:28 into the first period on Ed McGrane's 18th goal of the season.
After Evgeny Lazarev put Wheeling up 2-0 eight minutes into the middle period, Evan Nielsen cut the Nailers' lead back down to one goal with his third goal of the season coming with just thirty seconds remaining before the intermission.
The Nailers would extend their lead two goals when Kenny Corupe netted an unassisted goal at 5:17 of the third. McGrane notched his second goal of the night 2:13 later to complete the scoring for both teams.
Houle falls to 11-9-4 as he turned away 21 of 25 shots. The Titans were 0-for-4 on the power play and 1-for-1 on the penalty kill.
