In a game that saw fourteen goals the Moncton Wildcats fell to their provincial rivals 9-5 Wednesday night in front of 4496 fans at the Moncton Coliseum. Gabriel Levesque and David Gilbert with a pair, Jonathan Lessard, Sebastian Trudeau, Zach O'Brien, Marc-Olivier Mimar and Yoan Pinette all scored for the Titan in the Victory. Allain Saulnier with a pair, Alex Saulnier, Ted Stephens and Cole MacMillan scored for the Wildcats. Olivier Roy stopped 34 of 39 shots for the win. Steve Gleeson stopped 15 of the 21 shots he faced while Jordan Kennedy stopped 7 of 10 shots in his Wildcats' debut.

The Titan came out of the gate hard and had a 2-0 lead 4:41 into the game. Levesque got the Titan on the board 2:23 into the game, while Lessard added to the lead at 4:41. The Titan extended their lead to 3-0 at 10:16 when O'Brien scored a shorthanded goal. The Cats got on the score sheet on the same powerplay at 10:55 when Allain Saulnier slide home a cross crease pass from brother Alex. That goal seemed to give the Wildcats some life as they were able to generate a couple of scoring chances but could not capitalize.

The Titan eliminated any hope of a comeback for the Wildcats early in the second period. Levesque scored his second of the game 1:40 into the second period. Gilbert made it 5-1 18 seconds later. Gilbert scored his second in a row at 4:23 to make it 6-1. The Wildcats made it 6-2 at 12:23 when Ted Stephens stole the puck and went in all alone on Roy to score his first of the season.

In the third Trudeau made the score 7-1 on the power play at 6:55. The Wildcats made the game interesting when Saulnier score his second of the game at 12:03 and MacMillan scored on the powerplay at 15:37. However, Bathurst put the game away scoring goals 16 seconds apart. Mimar scored at 16:21 and Pinette made it 9-4 off the ensuing faceoff. Alex Saulnier rounded out the scoring when he successfully scored on a penalty shot at 16:48.

The Wildcats are back in action Friday night when the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles visit the Coliseum, game time is 7:30.
