Moncton Wildcats News Release
The Acadie-Bathurst Titan scored a power play goal on a two-man advantage with 33.3 seconds remaining in the third period to edge the Wildcats 3-2, Friday at KC Irving Regional Centre.
Jacob Hudson and Owen Stammer scored for Moncton.
Hudson's goal opened the scoring halfway through first period.
The Wildcats' captain took a pass in the left circle and whistled a wrist shot under the glove of goaltender Jan Bednar for a power play goal.
Acadie-Bathurst tied the game just 54 seconds later.
The score stayed 1-1 until more than eight minutes into the third period.
Stammer potted the rebound of a Francis Langlois shot from the right circle to give Moncton a 2-1 lead.
But the Titan took advantage of some late power play chances to tie the game with five minutes to go and get the game winner on a 5-on-3 in the final minute.
Wildcats goalie Nicholas Sheehan made 20 saves in his first action since early November.
